The Horse Park of NJ (HPNJ) and The Eastern States Dressage and Combined Training Association (ESDCTA) present the 23rd Annual Pleasure Ride to benefit the Horse Park of New Jersey and ESDCTA, Inc. It will be held on November 21, 2021 (Sunday), between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., at the Horse Park of NJ (Co. Rte. 524) and the adjacent Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in Upper Freehold, NJ.
RAIN or SHINE!
The two organizations (ESDCTA and HPNJ) are working together on this fund raising event in order to continue to support our respective sports and competitors.
Riders (in pairs) are invited to participate in the Cross-Country Pleasure Pace. An ideal Pleasure time will be set for each division. The entrants coming closest to this ideal time in their division will win. We will be offering prizes for first place, and awarding ribbons through 8th place! When you arrive on Show Day, you will stop at the Secretary’s Office, where you will pick up your “Packet” and you will check in with the Starter to get your start time assigned. This will minimize crowding at the start area, and you won’t have to stand around with your horse. Come join us in the beautiful country of the Horse Park and Assunpink Wildlife Management Area. Fields, wooded trails, hills and dirt roads comprise the course. There will be possibly water crossings on the rider courses. Starting times are from 9:30-12:30 pm with awards at 2:45 pm. Awards will be mailed if you are not present.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, no spectators will be permitted on the grounds.
All competitors and grooms must sign the Horse Park Waiver (see website) and will have their temperatures taken upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 will not be admitted to the facility. Note that there are no alcoholic beverages permitted per the Assunpink regulations.
