Craig Jones started at the Horse Park in early September 2007. He responded to a part-time position that was open for the Fall Season. He took to the job quickly and was moved into a full time position within two months. As Craig worked for the Park we all got to know him more and more. He resided in Clarksburg, NJ for almost 30 years. Craig enjoyed his time at the Horse Park because he loved being outdoors. He had a pilot’s license and at one time belonged to a flying club in Staten Island. Craig has flown along the East Coast on short trips.
Prior to joining us at the Horse Park, Craig had a successful career with W.R. Grace in Manhattan in their financial department. After leaving W.R. Grace, Craig opened his own photography business in Staten Island. Later he moved to New Jersey where he opened and operated a dry cleaning business in Clarksburg.
Craig took great pleasure in working at the Horse Park. He enjoyed helping and talking to anyone who came to the Horse Park. His signature “Thank You” was always how he ended a conversation. He did pretty much every job that the Horse Park has. Craig did everything from watering arenas during events to helping look for lost items someone misplaced on their recent visit to the Park. Craig was always smiling and his presence at the Horse Park can never be replaced. He will be greatly missed by all of us at the Park.
